¡Otra miércoles, otra canción! Esta semana, tenemos Jenny and the Mexicats’ “Tanto Tiempo” (“So Long”)
¡Qué chévere, amigas! This song is upbeat, it’s happy, it’s lovely. It’s hilarious! Jenny and her boys dance among lyrics and musical notes flying about the screen, while telling a story of having waited for someone for solong, and finally encountering them at a party, where they danced, evidently.
Now, there really isn’t much more to the story than that, folks. If you’re looking for anything more thick-plotted, I’ll try my best to find you something soon. But isn’t that a fantastic feeling, though: after waiting tanto tiempo to see someone you love — be it a family member, una novia/novio, or even a good friend — and finally encountering them? ¡Otra semana, otra canción! Esta semana, tenemos Jenny and the Mexicats interpretando “Flor”.
Two reasons for sharing this today. Let’s go backward. Second, I was got into the mood for another Jenny tune, since it had been a few weeks (months?) since I shared one. First, I actually had a HA-ASH song on my mind all day and had thought of posting that, but then I got to reviewing my feed and realized I’d hit you with quite a few of those recently. Time for a change-up. Hannah and Ashley will be back. Just not this week.
Navigated over to Jen’s YouTube channel, and this was one of the first videos to appear. Read More
Here’s another fun one from Jenny and her Mexicats, “Labios”. I must be getting old — I thought I had already shared this one. It’s my favorite so far from this group, I’m pretty sure, though I’ll admit that there are a couple of close seconds.
Jenny sings, she plays, she dances…. What’s not to like!? I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Otra miércoles, otra canción, mis amigas: “Me Voy a Ir”.
Once again, we’re featuring a tune from my new amigas, Jenny and the Mexicats. This is another song for which I haven’t had the opportunity to locate the lyrics, much less find a translation. I’ll do my best to find that soon and post an update, though. (It’s part of the learning process!)
I’ve been listening to some more from Jenny and the Mexicats, and I came across this really fun one. I haven’t been able to locate the lyrics just yet, so I don’t know everything they’re singing — I just know I like it! I think you will, too.
This is one I tripped across a week or two back, and I honestly cannot remember how/where/why! I actually shared it on my personal Facebook timeline, but not on my page (yet). Incidentally, my Facebook page is https://fb.com/ElViajeDeHermanoJoaquin, for those of you inclined to go there and give it a squint (and, hopefully, a like).
Espero que todos disfruten “Verde Mas Alla”
¡Hasta luego, amigas!
